Case Management with ResponsAbility | What is Webcom's ResponsAbility?

Webcom's ResponsAbility is a web based application for managing business processes. ResponsAbility can be used in a variety of ways. Some examples of use include, but are not limited to, support case management, engineering change notices, and material return authorizations.

Cases are Items which go through a workflow process. Once a case has been introduced into a workflow process, users are able to adjust its progression by changing its status. These case adjustments are referred to as actions.

Administrators are able to define an unlimited number of different case types. Each different case type may have its own unique workflow including: custom fields, statuses, notifications, etc.

Any user may be designated as a system administrator. An administrator has access to application setup. As a result an administrator can model case types, process workflow, manage users, user types, departments, notifications, permissions, projects, etc.

Additionally, a case type may have its own data fields, the values of which can be adjusted to viewable, required, or edit. Date files can be categorized into two types; custom and standard. Custom fields are specific to the case type while standard fields are consistent across the entire application.

Every workflow action can be customized to contain custom fields. Furthermore, custom fields can be grouped into reusable form.

Webcom's ResponsAbility has a powerful search engine which allows users to search for cases by any criteria. There are simple search options (searching by case name, description, case type, project and status) and advanced search options (searching by custom fields, case attributes, comments, attachments, and dates).

Webcom's ResponsAbility can send notifications as a result of any action. These notifications are customizable. It is possible to define which users or departments receive which notifications. Administrators can define common notifications and reuse them throughout the system as well as allow users to add their own notification recipients.

Similarly, administrators can define permissions which then can be used for control access to custom fields, actions, etc.
